Peterborough celebrates its children’s champions at the Spark Awards 2026

Inspirational local people, teams and organisations making a positive difference to children, young people and families across Peterborough have been recognised at the Children’s Spark Awards 2026.

These awards were made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors:

Their contribution helped us celebrate the remarkable people making a difference across Peterborough.

The celebration, held at the Peterborough Marriott Hotel, on Thursday 22 October, brought together finalists, families, professionals, volunteers, community organisations, partners, sponsors, civic leaders, and MPs for an evening dedicated to exceptional commitment, kindness and achievement.

Guests enjoyed a drinks reception, dinner and entertainment provided by young people from across Peterborough, including the Peterborough Centre for Young Musicians, young people from the House Project and the Ormiston Bushfield Academy Choir. Their performances brought energy and warmth to the celebration and placed children and young people at the heart of the evening. Warm applause also greeted every finalist and winner as the awards ceremony celebrated powerful stories from across the city.

The awards recognised achievements in sport, health and wellbeing, partnership working, education, safeguarding, SEND, innovation, volunteering and youth voice, as well as lifelong service and individuals who have gone above and beyond as champions for children.
